  • Seiwa Kogen Observatory August 2020

    ◆August 12(Wednesday):"Perseid meteor shower Kanbokai"
    The Perseid meteor shower, one of the three major meteor showers, reaches its peak.Seiwa Plateau Astronomical Observatory will hold the "Perseus Meteor Shower Kanbokai" on the night of August 12th.

    【Number of applicants】Limited to 50 pairs
            *It is a complete reservation system.Please be sure to apply by TEL or email.
            *Please wear a mask as a measure to prevent the spread of new coronavirus infection.
    【Within  Content】Astronomical observation (observation room/terrace) and summer constellations(Lawn open space)
            *Saturn and Jupiter are observed with a large telescope and large binoculars.
            *Summer starlit sky commentary will be held in the grass field.
    【Participation fee】500 yen for high school students and above/Elementary and junior high school students 300 yen

    ◆September 12(Saturday):Milky way photography event
    The Milky Way flowing through the summer night sky is powerful!
    An event will be held with the Milky Way in the Seiwa Kogen as the backdrop.
    The staff takes a commemorative photo of the Milky Way and you with the best shot! The captured image data will be provided on an SD card.

    【Implementation time】From 20:00 to 22:00
    【Number of applicants】Limited to 20 pairs

    【Within  Content】Milky way shooting and handing over of shooting data
            *The staff will take a commemorative photo of you against the backdrop of the Milky Way.
            *Please bring your SD card on the day.
             (Those who do not have an SD card will sell it.)
    【Participation fee】500 yen(2 files provided once)
            *Astronomical observation fee is not included.It is an additional charge.

    The Tanabata season has arrived.Tanabata legend Orihime (Vega from Kotoza) and hiboshi. (Aries Altair)The bright, bright stars in the summer night sky across the Milky Way.
    Seiwa Plateau Astronomical Observatory, the Tanabata decoration will be held from Saturday, July 4th.Why don't you write your wish on a strip and pray for the stars together?

Observe the bright stars in the dark summer night sky.Introducing the "Summer Constellation"
Summer's Great Triangle, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Sagittarius, Aquarius, Cygnus, Hercules and Ophiuchus are in full bloom.

    ◆From May 13th (Wednesday) -The Astronomical Observatory will resume.
    In order to prevent the spread of new coronavirus infection, the following operations will be performed for the time being.
    ・By appointment only:Up to 40 people per day(Including guests)
    ・The observation time will be limited to prevent three-way traffic.
    ・If you do not have a reservation, please contact us as we may decline observations.
    ・Observation time(4 times in total:Please let us know your preferred time zone when making a reservation)

    ・No more than 10 people per observation
    ・Observation fee 510 yen for high school students and above 300 yen for elementary and junior high school students
